Incision is the first installment in my Connection series and my debut project in graphic design. I challenged myself to create a flyer design as a proof-of-concept to demonstrate my skills to local event organizers within the tight-knit community of queer electronic music. Since I had never attempted anything graphic design-oriented before, I spent a lot of time researching rave flyers from 1980 to 2010. I took note of how rave flyers often used colored paper rather than colored designs, and implemented that into the printing process of my own flyer.
